Cagle Recreation Campground

The campground at the Cagle Recreation Area is the best campground on Lake Conroe. This heavily treed campground provides plenty of shade from the sun. There is direct lake access via boat ramp inside the park. And there are some of the best views of the lake you will find anywhere from the day-use area.

The Cagle Recreation Area is located on the north end of Lake Conroe. There are two primary loops in the park that offer campsites. The amenities of each loop are the same. There are full service hookups, tent pads, restrooms with showers, and fire pits in this campground.

Hikers and bikers alike will enjoy the 2-mile Cagle Trail that runs through the park.

Directions: Cagle Recreation Area is approximately 6 miles west of I-45 and approximately 3 miles west of the District Office on the left hand side of FM 1375.
