Scott’s Ridge Recreation Area

Scott’s Ridge Recreation Area is a beautiful park and boat ramp on the west side of Lake Conroe. This park is great for launching a vessel (fee required) or just to fish from the bank. There are plenty of trees along the shoreline that can be used for shade from the sun.

The day-use area of Scott’s ridge is open from May through September, but is closed in the fall and winter months. Access to the day use area requires a fee at a pay station. This wonderful park has picnic areas and a swim beach.

The boat launch is open year round.

Amenities of the park include:

  • Restrooms
  • Parking
  • Picnic tables
  • Swim beach
  • Boat ramp

Directions to the park are as follows: From I-45 take exit 94 (FM 1097), west 8.5 miles to Scotts Ridge Road, turn right (north). The recreation area is at the end of the road.

If you are looking to get out on Lake Conroe, this is a perfect spot to launch your boat. The park is also great for swimming and picnicking in the summer months. It is also popular for bank fishing.

Get out and enjoy Lake Conroe!
