Stubblefield Lake Campground

The Stubblefield Lake Recreation Area is home to a beautiful campground on the north end of Lake Conroe. This heavily treed campground is great for those that enjoy remote camping, fishing, and hiking in the Sam Houston National Forest.

The campground sits on a tributary to Lake Conroe. This body of water is popular for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. There are plenty of spots to fish from the bank near the bridge and near the small boat ramp located on the main road.

It looked like you pay at a fee station as you enter the campground. There was overflow camping available past the campground as well. Please contact the park directly for confirmation of all fees and reservations.

Directions: Located in the Sam Houston National Forest. From the Lake Conroe bridge on FM 1375 travel west approximately 4 miles, turn right on Stubblefield Lake Road, and go about 5 miles to the boat ramp.
